China

we are still holding on. We finally got infantry-II and if we can hold on long enough to get supply to upgrade all our vetran troops we will be in much better shape. His arty will kill a lot less defenders.

also he appears to be showing signs that his supply situation is still critical even with winter over.

so we will see how this turns out.

well its been 2 turns since I posted last. things got real tense in france for a turn with my supply situation and I lost about 6 FT-III and a couple dive bombers. And he was knocking on the door but I moved some fresh units up from the southwest where they where out of the winter effects and counterattacked across the river and hammered him pretty good. He had moved his arty unit up to there to hit my airfield and I destroyed it except for 1 arty. It was a nice counter attack and he had to pull his surviving units back and he replaced them with a light armor unit which is no threat to me.
My supply situation should have been fixed this turn but I had 2 BB-III and 2CA-III pop which sucked my supply down again. However I finally had enough PP to get CV-III and I was able to stop making that 50PP a turn and am just making supply which will fix my supply and I will have enough to start upgrading my carriers.
next turn I will be able to really start pumping units into Bordeaux and I hope to have pushed him back some by winter.
I parked a BB-II and a couple CA-II in Bordeaux to make sure he doesn't do any air strikes while my air-force is recovering.

we are over the Hump now here and things will start to turn around.

In North Africa things are going well also.
The Royal Navy has bombarded Tripoli until the City is in ruins. he wont be getting any supply from it. Wavell has advanced nicely and in two turns at the most he will be besieging the city then my navy can move to the pacific to help with Japan.
I will also be sending Wavell and his army to India to help.

The Pacific

My bombing campaign is going very well, out of 6 supply centers in the south Pacific he has 1.5 operational. Next turn I will take out the last one and then go back and hit the ones that are repairing themselves. I have 21 Level Bomber-II and 6 level bomber-I in theater now. I have built a new airfield in australia to allow my bombers from the USA to reach the south Pacific supply centers.

these are the Supply centers that I am targeting the only one that is 100% is Borneo and I will attack it next turn. He has installed some flak in some places but I only lost 1 bomber I think, maybe two.

Also notice that he has most of his navy off shore of bangkok. I counted 10 Carriers in 1 fleet and around 16 DD with 10 or 11 BB. all of them show low readiness but I cant trust that 100%.
But what I think he is doing is keeping his fleets at sea and together to keep his army supplied so it can take Chunking.
Make no mistake about it. I am hurting his supply in a big way and while I may not can save china it will still have a big effect on him the rest of the game. What good are huge fleets if they have no supply.
Its just a shame I wasn't able to do this during the winter more but if I can keep it up till this coming winter he will be in a really bad way.
as it is I believe his naval operations will be severely limited.

Russia

Its a good thing I pulled back when I did because he slammed into me HARD and I am in a very tense situation right now. Its all I can do to hold on. I need two turns to stabilize my defensive posistions and he already destroyed my defenses i had built at Gorky so i had to fall back into the city and abandon my last fortification.
I lost around a 100 infantry and some other units and only killed about 50 of his infantry. He dropped para troopers behind my lines to cut off supplies but I think I have them contained. My worry is he will be able to build a bridge and get across the river before i can get all my units in place.

The situation here is critical.

in the south its not looking good either at least not for Sevastopol. It will most likely fall next turn, I will be very surprised if it doesn't. Stalingrad is in a tight spot also. But I counter attacked with my air-force and artillery and gave his units a bloody nose.
My supply took me an additional turn to get sorted out while Germany was able to advance and attack the first turn.

I may lose the whole south.

China

Chunking is still holding on but it really looks bad.
it will be interesting to see how the partisans spawn and if china can come back if it is lost.

well its been a couple turns since i last posted and things have not gone well for me at all.

western Europe still holds on but china is gone except for some partisans that pop. And I really messed up in Russia and it became a disaster.
whats left of my army from Moscow is now running for its life to Siberia.
brilliant play by grumpy and two simple mistakes by me and everything collapsed.

first he made a very fast move and got across the river before I could put a unit there.
my mistake was that the turn before I didnt move a unit to that square because one wouldnt reach. All i needed to do was transfer a AT gun out of the unit and it would have reached just fine. I was able to push him back to the one square in question but he had already built a bridge.

my second mistake was that I attacked with my air-force and didn't move it back to kazhan first so i wound up with it stuck in Gorky.

Germany did finally break through my blockade of the channel and is making a real mess of my shipping lanes but this is something that in a few turns i can easily correct.

latest turn

still fighting hard to hold on in Europe Grumpy continues to surprise me and this time he brought in the surviving Italian fleet to help his attack on my beach head. With half my fleet in the Med this has become a hard battle and I am struggling to hold on.
