its October 10th and diplomatic negotiations with the Low-countries have failed so we will attack them and try to capture them as fast as we can before winter set in and slows us down.

This picture shows why we did our attack on france first and then attacked the low countries.

The area shown with the red line is a very strong natural defensive position and the Bulgarian army is strong enough to defend it . If we had attacked BeNelux first we would have come along the path shown in yellow and right into the teeth of this defense.
but in the picture above you can see how we are hitting the Bulgarians from behind which actually traps them against that river.

we did one bombing run on Belgrade with 1 squadron of 5 of the new BF-109f's and 5 HE111's.

I was surprised to see a RAF Squadron defending because I did a couple recon missions near Belgrade and nothing came out to intercept.
When I saw all those planes defending I thought sure I would get creamed but it was a decent result for me considering.

and a look at the fight statistics.
I lost 2 HE111 and 2 BF 109's

allies lost 1 Hurricane
2 Spitfire Mark V
and 2 Gloster's.

better results than I thought at first.

my point is that the air war results can be different every fight no matter what you do.

One last thing.

My plan was to start saving PP and upgrade my Armor and Guns but with the Hungarians and Romanians joining me and their war-footing being at 60% I have to start raising that instead especially since i cant get any reinforcements to help them any time soon.

well the 109f was vastly superior to the E or even the spitfire, it had impressive range amazing speed if they had them at the battle of Britain it might have been a completely different outcome so the results dont really surprise me what was their experience level?

the hurricanes and the other fighters would be no match for the f the spitfires could have done decently against the f but they'd still be outclassed, i am surprised more bombers didn't go down just due to the numbers though, i guess maybe his spits went for your fighters

well normally when you escort bombers your fighters take a beating so i was surprised that I didn't lose more in this fight. And in this scenario the 109f's are pretty even with the spitfire mk v's maybe just a little bit better overall. The allies should have a American fighter the p40 warhawk I think it is that is real close to the 109f's

The 109F was better in all respects to the Spitfire I & II, about equal to the V, and considerably worse than the VIII and IX.

it had impressive range amazing speed if they had them at the battle of Britain it might have been a completely different outcome

Yeah - and if the Brits had had Meteors in France in 1940 the whole question might never have come up in the first place.....etc., etc...;)

The reason for the air battle result in the attack on Belgrade might be that I have set the fighters to no-intercept. I was sure they would get down when the Luftwaffe does its first recon flights. When attacking the town directly they might have come into battle. But I am wondering why no falk is listed in battle result. So it seems as if it was only fighter intercept, that caused the German losses.
