Game Crash IN GC

I am having the same problem as original poster. I have a GC, its the original file, not saved through debrief screen. Crashes on the 18th at 1900 on the last battle. I had restored a previous copy, played a few battles and it happens in same spot, setp 18th at 1900 after the close of the last battle on that round. I have tried moving bg's around to different places and ended the turn on different maps and bg's to see if I can work my way around but no luck. Its always last battle on the 18th at 1900.

In the first battle on renkum heath

the battle loads and plays fine.

The German AI offered a truce and when i accepted i get this error and CTD

And same when I offer the truce and German Ai accepts

And same if I let the game timer run out.

I have tried several things, I tried editing the german order of battle to one squad and killing them to for the end of game and no luck, I have also captured all vl's. I have even backed up a few battles ( by restoring a backup of the original gc file) and changed my movements to get another scenario. I get same error ending on the bridge, renkum or in N. Oosterbeck (where I originally had this error). its always last battle of the turn at 1900 on the 18th. Even if I go back about 2 turns it always ends up the same.

i have the same problem it freezes when i press next.it is really annoying!i cant paly again and again and again!!!

kaiser0307 are you running the latest patch?

If no, you should download it and install.

If yes, what moves are you doing? Without doing moves the game goes onto the battles fine on the patched version.

Edit: tried moving the Allied BG's based on the situation and goes onto the battles fine....

no i didn't patch it,is there any way to fix my save game??i started the game millions of times and i can't start it again!!!!

If/when you apply the patch you should be able to continue your game/grand campaign....

i installed the patch my save games worked,when i pressed next ot go to the next day crashed again.it getting really rediculous!!!!!

What I did to test your saved game was load it, make some BG moves and fought the 1st battle. What did you do before it crashed again (it could help Steve find/reproduce the problem)?

Maybe the saved game is corrupt? Steve hopefully can find the cause, if it wasn't the one already fixed in the patch, and might be able to fix the saved game....

i had to install the beta patch to fix it.thanks guys for your help,it is nice to see tha people appreciate one of the best strategy series!didn't know that we were that much!!!
