Help please

Post by Saladin »

This game is not for beginners, nor is it user friendly. That doesn't mean I'm not into it, I definitely want to play but could someone help me out? Is seems like there are only limited amounts of ground units available? Is this true? So If I get demolished somewhere do I just have to wait for more reinforcements? Also how do I get support to a unit that is undersupported. If the unit is undersupported is that why I have been unable to stick that unit on a troop transport? Can a troop transport carry supplies, fuel and troops? Also when I set my subs to human control, it's not letting me select react to enemy. I'm confused with this. I wish there was some help please.

Support is based on the support available in the hex, so if you have an infantry unit and its HQ unit in the same hex then that unit will have enough support.

The thing to remember is that attrition in some bases can outstrip your supports ability to help the unit. The thing to remember, the bigger the base the less attrition (usually due to malaria)

Transports can carry all types, but not fuel and anything else at the same time. If you select add troops then both troops and supplies will be added. By choosing select only troops, no supplies will be added. I suggest though that you use only TK's and AO's to carry fuel as they are designed for it and load/unload heaps quicker.

Once a ground unit has been lost you will not have it replaced and are thus only going to get the troops that are due. You will however get replacements for a unit that has been mauled, but is essentially still whole. Sub units do not get replacements.

Hope this helps

With regards to the subs they cannot be set to attack enemy task forces on human control, if you set them to computer control and send them to a hex with an enemy in it, especially if it is slow or wounded then it will follow that TF, but you have to continually watch subs set to computer control as they have a habit of just heading to either Truk or Noumea.

Don't ask for my oppinion on why we can't set them to chase a TF, this is just the way it is
