Another two days in hell as the Allied Death Star returns to station just off japan.
Ships Sunk: 49 by 1000lb + 10 by Torp + 2 by 500 lb (I still think there are way too many 1000lbs dropped by the allies, as a percentage of all bombs dropped it must be above 80%)

Had Bomber raids on most Kyushu bases in the last turn. Looks like this will be his target zone for an invasion.

Still to do before Invasion to add to Kyushu defence
Shuttle the 3 Divs sitting in Fusan to Fukuoka
Move all Air units from changchun,Harbin and other non Japanese Airfields (excluding china, due to agreement to hold china forces in place)
17.2.1 AUTOMATIC VICTORY IN 1943
In 1943, if one player has 4 times the VP’s of the other, the game will end.
17.2.2 AUTOMATIC VICTORY IN 1944
In 1944, if one player has 3 times the victory points of the other, the game will end.
17.2.3 AUTOMATIC VICTORY IN 1945 OR LATER
In 1945 or beyond, if one player has 2 times the victory points of the other, the game will end.

I made a mistake I thought AdmSpruance had to get double points to win. Still wont take long No Airforce No Navy No Supply So No Army.

Can you continue on after auto-victory?  I would be reaaally curious to see the bombing campaign unfold.  And see your opponent catch a bloody nose with an invasion on the HI... This is a unique opportunity to test that!

I am hoping this game does get there as I want to see just how fast a bombing campagin from the Marianas will take out Japanese industry (very quickly I am guessing).

I have started preparing for a home island invasion. I see 3 main landing Areas. AdmSpruance likes his landings in open Hexs so this rules out a lot of bases.

zone 1) Hachinohe at the top end of Honshu
zone 2) Chiba, Utsonomiya, Iwaki and Sendai east of Tokyo
zone 3) Kumamoto on Kyushu

I think he will go for Kanoya on the island of Kyushu. He may take more Cas in the landings. Once landed thought he will have a few days where the Japanese can not get support units there due to no Strat travel to this base. I have tested it and it takes over 10 days to pack up units send them to the next closest base and walk them in. Probably longer under air attack ever turn.

Once captured he can move in two directions. The japanese must cover both routes or be cut off from retreat. Deviding the Japanese force for easier distruction.

If I over commit to this landing it will be an easy task to land at any of the zone 2 landing sites.

Some very dodgy and gamey play here by me sending in the kamikaze at high altitude. Would be interesting to know how much damage a Ki-46-II Dinah causes though. May put that CVE out of action for all of a day.

Well done SS I-55 putting two fish into a CV that should send it back to pearl. shame he could not hit any of the other 50 thousand CV's out there.
