Lost French 1st Corps in 1.7.01

Even though I was told that this issue was fixed, I lost the French 1st Corps. I placed it with Nappy in the space east of Milan during the placement phase (along w 3 other corps and a depot).

When I checked the same stack during my Jan reinf phase, I found Nappy unattached and French 1st corps missing. It appeared in the list of available units, but had a red dot over it.

it is now Feb French reinforcement. I received a message that I have successfully recovered a unit, and indeed the French 1st is now available for placement, but I can't actually put it anywhere, and I don't know if the troops that went with it are still in it, or gone forever.

I would appreciate any suggestions or help in this matter.

In addition, the other players are getting a Game synch error when they try to load the current french reinforcement phase

If you are only in 1805, I would suggest a restart with everyone using 1.08.04.

Likely your 1st French corps will be available for placement if you were to purchase the counter during the next economic phase. It might return with full strenght when placed, who knows. What is its troops strength in the text report list for your army?
