WPO wont run

Post by Jorm »

Ive just reinstalled WPO and patched it with the latest patch. It keeps locking up after the loading screen. ie after the red bar finishes, then it goes into the matrix load screen, if i click past it, or just let it run it locks up.

Any one know of a fix to get it working ? could it be the wide screen monitor im using ?

Let me make a wild guess... Windows 7? Try right-clicking on the exe file and running it in a Windows XP compatibility mode.

hiya,

thanks for the reply

Unfortunately its just plain old windows XP, it used to run with no problems ages ago, but i had to reinstall after PC died a while ago and have only now just tried to play it. I have a new graphics card which may be the problem, an ATI radeon HD 4800, but WITP:AE still works perfectly. very annoying

cheers

Jorm,

Runs fin for me on Windows XP. I have 1280 x 1024 setting. But no widescreen.

Also, when you get it working, would you be up for a small PBEM?
