Lost French 1st Corps in a MP game!

Help,

I lost the French 1st corps while playing ver 1.07.01

It was stacked with the rest of the French army and had Napoleon attached, and is now gone. It is listed under available corps, but has a big red dot marked through it.

I recall reading somewhere that this is a know issue. Is there a fix?

BTW, thanks for putting 1.8.04 out. Are older MP save games compatible with it?

The problem with the French first corps was fixed a long time ago (I think in verson 1.06.03). Double check which version you have, but you need to upgrade your game to at least 1.07.02, but might as well go to 1.08.04.

You can upgrade games started with older versions. But every player in your game should upgrade at the same time, and I would choose to upgrade to 1.08.04 in a non-diplomacy phase.

Maybe there is someone in your game that is playing with an older versio, even if you are playing with 1.07.01.

I sent an email to the players to check, but was under the impression that it was impossible to play with different patch levels.

It is possible to play with different players to use different versions of the game when the older versions (like 1.06 and 1.07, but in theory, this should not occur when you get to 1.08, at least not without the other players knowing.

Everyone reported in that they are using 1.7

It is now the next month and the 1st corps is again available for placement, but without the troops it started with 25/4.

Marshall is only checking this site about once per week, so best to send him the file ASAP if you want it fixed. It should be your turn as France for him to be able to fix it.

I should add this a good example of where it would good if a host could add manpower to replace the lost factors. There would be no need to bug Marshall for a fix.

I suspect someone is playing with an older version. The 1st corps problem, I believe was fixed in 1.07.02(???).

we all checked our versions and we are all in 1.7

Can I send you my file (which one?) and can you restore the corps at the strength at which it disappeared (full). It was last seen in the space directly east of Milan.

Since I have not heard back from marshall, does anyone know how to do this - restore units?

I would upgrade to 1.08 for sure OR it WILL happen again!
