more detailed info about elements/fields in the database

Post by Pascal_slith »

The manual was somewhat succinct. Is there a post anywhere that explains in much more detail the different elements/fields in the database?

Some fields are quite evident but others not. For example if the 'build rate' of an aircraft is 0 (zero) per month, what does that mean in terms of what actually appears per month?

It means that none will appear (should be quite clear). This obviously doesn't apply to Japan, provided that the aircraft in question has a factory.

That is a logical answer but then if you look at which aircraft have a build rate of zero, it makes little sense. For example, the B-24D and B-25C have a build rate of zero with nothing in the pool either, which seems very strange given the aircraft I've identified. Does this mean that any units which arrive in the time frame indicated using these aircraft get nothing more than what is there?

The build rate for the PBY-5 and PBY-5A is also zero, which would also not make any sense...

The B-24D , PBY-5 AND PBY-5A all have on map factories in San Diego

So this becomes the only source of replacement aircraft? OK, now I'm seeing the logic.

Thanks!

Which also makes them attackable (though accomplishing this is almost a magic trick).
