flak units

The team behind the award-winning game Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive early days of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris is the first in an innovative series of operational World War II wargames that also include a strategic element. The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris simulates Germany’s military successes in Poland and France in 1939 and 1940 (including also a hypothetical “Sea Lion” invasion of Great Britain).

flak units

Post by gwgardner »

I confess to using flak units on the front lines in my first game, Bzura. Another reason I should be cashiered.

I'm guessing that flak units can properly be used 1) surprise, surprise, as flak protecting air bases or HQs, 2) for anti-tank positions. Is that right?

Me too.

Ambush should eliminate in one fell swoop my extensive reconnaissance efforts using engineers and flak units...but...it is too economical and more advantageous for me to essayons with these non-recon units before committing substantial combat power into an unknown area.

The abuse of engineers and Flak for forward duty is just too temping. Especially the Flak seems expendable compared to other units.

There was an earlier thread where the author - for the same reasons as discussed here - requested the adding of recon battalions to divisions where those were present.

The main use of the flak should be to protect the ground units from air attacks ? no ? I have concentrate my flak in some important area in my game against Chocolino, hope this will be helpful.
Anyway, the recon in this game needs improvment.
