From what I understand, tourists should absolutely NOT kiss the Blarney stone. Kind of an inside joke amongst the locals figuring out ways to bespoil the stone and watch the funny fur-i-nurs kiss it. [:-]

I always get women doctors with fat little fingers (and fat little bodies) who tell me that I should lose 20 pounds (And they generally need to lose 100!). And they always tell me that I need to quit drinking (But sir! One glass of wine a day is practically an alcoholic!). We'll , I've been on a diet for most of a month, I've lost 15lbs, and haven't had a drink in a month! No doubt she'll find something to bytch about! [:(]

Blarney stone? That's in Ireland. The Edinburgh Military Tatooo is held in Scotland in late summer, early autum. [:)]
