AI Comparison LSA vs TLD

Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem is a highly enhanced new release of Close Combat, using the latest Close Combat engine with many additional improvements. Its design is based on the critically acclaimed Close Combat – A Bridge Too Far, originally developed by Atomic Games, as well as the more recent Close Combat: The Longest Day. This is the most ambitious and most improved of the new Close Combat releases, but along with all the enhancements it retains the same addicting tactical action found in the original titles! Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem comes with expanded force pools, reserve & static battlegroups, a troop point buying system, ferry and assault crossings, destructible bridges, static forces and much more! Also included in this rebuild are 60+ battles, operations and campaigns including a new enhanced Grand Campaign!

AI Comparison LSA vs TLD

Post by polemotatos »

Just a quick question for those CC fans who have played both CC:LSA and CC:TLD. How does the tactical AI compare between the two products? I would be particularly interested in a brief comparison of the offensive tac AI for both games.

I really came to love LSA after the first patch, and I am happy with the job the tac AI now does. I am thinking seriously about buying TLD but would probably not do so if the AI is not more or less as good...

I don't think there have been any tactical AI changes from WaR/tLD/LSA

correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

Items updated on LSA posted here with a section on the AI:

tm.asp?m=2592573

Polemotatos the same is true of each build in their respective forums if you want a list of exactly what was updated.

As has been stated elsewhere we have plans to back-port the LSA pathing and AI improvements to WaR and TLD.

It's not new news as I'd mentioned it back in August but I'm glad you guys are receiving it and are happy about it nonetheless.
