Tip 1: I had a few sentai that I had set to Kamikaze that had a withdraw date. Problem was I could not get the disband or withdraw buutons to come up no matter the base they where stationed at. Stupid me just found out set them back to training and you can withdraw them, seems to be that they can not be withdrawn when set to kamikaze

Tip 2: never put a way point within max movement range of a base where you want a fast transport to run in and run out. I could never work out why my Fast transport where still sitting at a base the next morning. I think the waypoint being near max distance causes the fast transport code to fail. (just my thoughts as I have lost so many ships this way and the waypoint is the only thing I do diffrent.)

There back for another go the allies seem to have a real bad day with there bombing today.

I had a great big pile of luck today a Japanese sub manages to put 2 trops in an AK and he is going to the bottom. Shame he had to fire 6 to get 2 hit thought.

Task Force 200 encounters enemy Task Force at 116 , 98 (Kill em all)

This group of destroyers was trying to sneak up on Saipan and Bombard his Heavy Bombers there. I can bet that they are over stacked at both Tiaian and Saipan. This group of destroyers has to return to Japan and refuel and rearm as they no longer have the Ammo to do the bombbard.

I dont know what is happening here but I don't like it. When an allied raid of 600 planes can fly at 10000 feet across 100+ km of japan and not get seen until they are 3 minutes from there target I start to get worried.

1) they should be seen within minutes of crossing the coast. 2) where is my radar works fine at sea.

If you look at the list of spottings above you will see that my best spotting was 16 minutes warning on 6 x B-24J Liberator's. This I can understand. The allies worst was 7 minutes on 4 x Ki-43-IIb Oscar's This I can understand the other don't make much sence.

1 thing I hate about this game destroyed Air units take six months to bring back to life. I have good pilots coming out my wazzo, jack aircraft replacements to fill out 3 more sentai and I am sitting here waiting for a section that was destroyed to come back to life. I can't even recombine the other two sections.

The allies have four major advantages here:

1) They come in from outerspace dive in, kill and get the hell out.
2) Short warning times and longer scramb time (Goes hand in hand with the high sweep 10 minute warning max alt is about 20,000)
3) Cap not in the Air (eg put 1 or 2 planes up) while training units are putting up every plane they have when they should not.
4) Better armed planes

RE: 08/01/44

Post by StoneAge »

The biggest problem was that all my fighter cover was draged into Yokohama/Yokosuka to defend against fighter sweeps and this left Tokyo completly defence less. With a 9 minute warning even fighters with the best climb rate 18,000 feet. Did not matter as not even 1 plane took off in defence.

Intercepted means by one plane or more. (80% of day 2 raids intercepted by 1 plane)
DAY 1:
Yokohama/Yokosuka: Intercepted 12 - Not Intercepted 8
Tokyo: Intercepted 1 - Not Intercepted 17

DAY 2:
Yokohama/Yokosuka: Intercepted 1 - Not Intercepted 7
Tokyo: Intercepted 15 - Not Intercepted 2

My attacks on his carriers where destroyed because they where spotted 50+ minutes before they attacked. Gave every one of his fighters time to eat luch hope in their planes do a few warm up laps and then splash all the Japanese planes bar the one flying in outer space.

I hate putting my planes so high just to get 1 kamakaze hit. Makes me feel like shit, I am not totally sure how many planes I lost this turn (I killed tracker) but I disbanded about 20 Sentai as they had no planes left. I would have to say I lost in the range of 400+ (over a months production in good times).
