Glory Standings

Great Britain and the O.E. are maintaining their relative positions. Great Britain will increase its rate of adding glory after this war, but so will the O.E.

France is making some good increases. I would not be surprised to see France finish in 3rd place. I would be surprised to see it finish in first place.

Political Reports

France is sending in some money again-this is much appreciated. It seems money is the one thing France has in abundance and the one thing the O.E. does not have in abundance.

Spanish diplomats are having a hard time getting my diplomats out of Italy. Spanish moral is being hammered from every angle-this will help for the time of a great battle.

Sweden has just added the patriotism doctrine. This will help it defend its homeland, but without allies to help it, Sweden is facing defeat also.

Army Report

The 2nd Army was given a little reward for its actions in Africa-it plundered Tripoli again. This should give some units a boost in moral.

Spain has captured one of the Ottoman colonies. It we be recovered in the peace. Spain has a big advantage in that area, but it is not so much a concern for the Sultan at this time.

France has captured a Spanish owned city. It looks like Venice is ready to be taken by storm-it has been ordered.

It looks like there will soon be news of a great battle. France appears to have the upper hand. However, the Spanish Army is well trained and will benefit from fighting on its own ground. The French Emperor has cause to be concerned.

It is official, the Ottoman Empire has the largest military force in Europe-again.

Glory Standings

There has been a slight increase in the Ottoman lead over Great Britain. Hopefully, this trend will continue for some years.

Constantinople is going through a little expansion on its docks complex. There is much trade that goes through that province. With level 7 docks there should be a big increase in income from trade activity there. We will find out. There are a few years of work to reach that level, so it'll be a while.

Culture Standings

Spain has fallen a bit more in culture due to its loss of cities. The Ottoman Empire has increased due to same-and a bit of plundering.

Battle reports

France has won a great victory at Provence. This will cause a huge drop in Spanish moral.

Spain also has the levee in mass doctrine. It should have some rather large reserves. However, with the losses it has been taking in the sieges and now this great battle its reserves should be dropping rapidly.

Venice has fallen! It has long been a dream of the Sultan to have Venice in the Empire. For the first time in over 1700 years it will now be part of the true Empire...

As mentioned earlier, the divisions that Spain has lost in Venice were powerful units. The Spanish King no doubt regrets positioning them there.

Battle History

This is perhaps my favorite page in the Great Book of Battles. At the top of the Page is a decisive victory by ottoman forces and at the bottom is another decisive victory by our good ally, France. It make me want to have a glass of wine and admire the heavens-and other great works of God...

Spain's Moral

Spain's moral must be below 500 at this point. Future battles will be even easier to win with this advantage.

I can now free up one diplomat for use in another capacity rather than propaganda.

Treaty Report

Austria is really in bad shape. It cannot afford to pay its reparations.

In view of the current deployments of Ottoman fores far from home, the dependability of depot sharing cannot be left to chance. For some reason those treaties expire-without notice. To avoid any discomfort for the troops the treaty with France has been renewed even though the older one is still in force.

Moral Comparisons

Spanish moral has indeed plummeted. French moral has rocketed back to 1000-the first time in many years it has been at that level.

Austria is still far below zero, but is making steady progress.
