Sim dip working (for me anyways)

Hi all
I just completed my third sim dip phase, and everything worked flawlessly (DOW's work, surrender's work, influence works, does not matter if Spain or France ends the land phase, or if there is combat). Everyone completed the dip files in less than half a day which is impressive for our group which is in 3 time zones.

I've been puzzling why it is working for some games and not others. I think I have noticed a possible trend in the it is new games which seem to have more problems than old ones. Old games can also have problems if one or more players have recently had to re-install the game from scratch. Can anyone else confirm this opinion?

Maybe its operator error. Can you post an exact step by step process for how the sim dip should work?

It seems pretty straight forward to use. Everyone loads the last land (or eco) phase, then does there own diplomacy, and sends it to Spain. Spain does her diplomacy and sends it out to all the players. The other players load the Spainish diplomacy.

Well if its that simple and we have problems then the problems must be a bug. Or its not that simple after all.
