WS: Release Date (Estimate?)
Hi guys,
I've been WAY out of the loop for quite some time, but was goign to try getting back INTO the loop.
Any word on WS and when it may be out? (Even a ballpark would be nice, as in Before End of This year, or 2nd quarter 2003 or whatever).

I see your lips moving, but all I hear is: Blah Blah Blah, I'm a friggin moron.
Yes! Take Corrin!
Seriously, don't kill off the best game to come along in years. Besides, you'd be spoiling the moment I've been waiting for since WS's course was plotted: The moment when some cocky game-reviewer plays the game for the first time and has his head handed to him in 400 seconds. Gets frustrated, almost gives up, but then, for whatever reason that this game hooks people, hooks him and the review is raved about in all corners of the earth...
...That may have gotten a bit carried away, but the sentiment still stands:
Long Live WS!
Lobsteve.

Larkin,
Thanks for the update, and for exposing yourself to a BARRAGE of questions.
I for one, have been waiting for a PC version of Ralph Reed's "MechWar" for YEARS!!! TOS is the closest thing.
I fully understand the whole "programming in your "Spare" time" is. Hard to do anything.
Would pre-orders help motivation, or is motivation not even a factor? I don't think the community would mind throwing $30-$50 now if it would help development.
Just a thought.
The bottom line is that none of us want this game to be vaporware, and I guess I'll just come out and ask the question that you won't know the answer to.
Are you saying the chances are good that the game will be scrapped? It didn't sound like you were too optomistic.
Thanks again for the answer(s) Larkin.

Yeah, Larkin...I don't want this game to die either. If there's something we can do, I bet a lot of us would be willing to help. If there's a money problem, I think there's several of us who'd lay down a few bucks to get this game out. If it's a lack of people to program, I know some people on this forum are into programming - maybe you can co-opt a few of them into working. It's too good a game to let it vanish. Let us know if we can do something to help.
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about
Unseen and unexplained
We suspend our disbelief
And we are entertained

Dont' let it die!
I subscribe too. Can't play online still but still enjoy the game. If there is anything I could do to help (I have a degree in Computing engineering and am a good C programmer
) or just to encourage you (I'll buy it as soon as it's out!
) just let me know!
I am sure the going is hard but remember that we are all behind you!
GO GO LARKIN!

Thanks for the support. Its not a matter of money nor manpower. Adding people wouldn't speed it up at this stage. Its just that some of us don't have enough time, other feel a bit burned out. I can tell you that coordination and management is much harder than coding for me.
Its nice that matrixgames not forcing any schedule. I had to realize that its done when its done.

Just as long as it actually gets done instead of vanishing. I think I speak for most people when I say that the game is good enough to wait for. Even if it's longer than originally planned. I know I'd wait, even if it would be another year until it came out.
