Slowly but surely making my way through the badges for RAN Bathurst class ships. If there are any Australians out there, would you know any good places to search for the Coat of Arms (or Achievement of Arms) of cities. According to the RAN site these were often used by ships carrying the name of a city and so finding a good source for these would be a good way to fill the gaps from the RAN site.

Help naming AGPunits

Post by Halsey »

Could really use some help with renaming AGP bitmaps.
I don't have enough time to handle all on my plate.

Any volunteers?[:D]

Theses are prepackaged, they only need unit ID's to complete.

1.Here are Japanese AGP's.

Try the AGP/SHP/LCU Patch Replication Tool which can very simply create multiple copies of AGP/SHP/LCU Patches. You just need to know what slots to copy them into.

AGP/SHP/LCU Patch Replication Tool

Lesbaker used this tool very effectively to create lots of Allied minor ship patches.... [:)]

Doing the Allied AGP's and LCU's is all custom work, one bitmap at a time, so I was hoping others might lend a hand.[;)]

Here's a set of USN flight wings.
These are for US CV airgroups.
No way to do them realistically, as these groups actually rotated on and off CV's the entire war.
Edit and save as a 24bit bitmap and rename to all the US CV AGP's.

USN land based VS/VD AGP's.
Flight wings only,most of these units are NAS based, and would need a NAS logo to have an actual insignia.

Since I've had a few spare moments over the break, I have updated a bit more rotating aircraft art.

This time it is adding rotating top art for the Dutch aircraft.

The file can be downloaded in the post below.

Rotating Art Update Set 003 Version 2 - Dutch

Post by Reg »

Set 003 Version 2: Dutch Aircraft

Complete WITP-AE Rotating Art set for Dutch aircraft updating from the Orange insignia to National Flag insignia in Mar'42. Note all planes now have revolving top art.

This download superscedes Dutch aircraft in the previous Rotating Aircraft Art Set003-004.

Please note that I am only repackaging this artwork to the rotating art format. The artistic credit is fully due to Cathartes (though there are a few modified ones in the mix)!!

To get the best out of this artwork you should have Cathartes' AE planetops installed as well. This is not required but will provide a better match between styles of the default and rotating artwork. Cathartes' AE planetops can be downloaded from http://www.turkeyvulturesart.info/downloads.htm on Cathartes' Accurate Air Site
==============================================================

The index to the rest of the Aircraft Rotating Art is is here....

===================================
Installation instructions:

To make things easy, just unzip this distribution into your AE game folder (after making sure the "use folders" option is set. The zip file includes the Art directory.

To verify correct installation, just load the Guadalcanal scenario. As this is set in Aug'42, the Dutch aircraft sideart in the encyclopedia should have updated to the National Flag insignia.

Download here...

==================================================
THIS DOWNLOAD IS NOW OBSOLETE!!! (and contains an error [:(])

Please use the index to the rest of the Aircraft Rotating Art here.... to locate the latest version of this Rotating Artwork Set.

I really don't look thru this thread(maybe separate threads for ships, ground units, planes would be good) so could anyone please tell me how far the graphic modes for planes, ships, ground units etc. are finished.
