He is gassed. Semarang hits fort2 again !!!. Looks like he is out of supplies or very disrupted.

All over the Pacific there is little movement. Only a wolfpack of SS heading W.C. again... Perhaps another W.C. raid ?

In China, several key chinese cities are about to hit fort6. As soon as they get it, I'll release some chinese armies to make a very interesting movement...

At the Pacific, soon I'll get the WASP, with a modern BB. Excellent add to a ACTF to absorb torpedoes and bombs.

Oh!, and 2/3 of the 37th Div are now at Australia. I consider OZ secure, and, to its extension, all SLOC secure. Now is time to COUNTERATTACK. [well, not now, but in a few months]

SS S-46 sinks xAK DURBAN MARU at LUNGA, first with one torpedo and later, she emerges and put somo shells on the cargo ship.

SS I-15 tries to sink DD ANDERSON, but fail the launch. Retaliation gets FOUR hits (including one direct) onto the hull of the SS. This combat has taken place near S.F. so he has ALL the Pacific to back home. [:D] Good luck baby.

My Falcons bombard Batavia again scoring one port fuel hit and one port hit. Well, well.. where are his fighters ? I have located only about 50/60 Oscars at Singapore, and the others ?? [&:][&:].

The 35th Japanese Division makes a shock attack at Wuhu and repulse the chinese guerrilla troops...Well, one division out of place, so she is not going to Sinyang. BTW: A LOT of intel concerning LCUs pointing this city has been reported. This point is a bit weak, I admit, but I hope that is just a feint....He has suffer too many loses...

NAVAL WARFARE

SS I-15 attacks DD HAMMAN near S.F. Missed !!! Counterattack reports just one hit.

Several SS ( at least THREE ) spotted near Moulmein.

Royal Navy strikes again !!! The Scouting Force ( 5 CLs ) raid Rangoon sinking two carriers, a battleship, and numerous cruisers and destroyers...

eeerhh..no. Just the xAK SINYO MARU and the following dmg at Rangoon:

1 manpower hits.
2refinery hits.
Fires 14 ([8D])
Air base hits 1
Airbase supply hits 2.
Ruanway hits 48.
Port hits 7.
Port fuel hits 2.
Port suppy hits 1.

Besides 112th Inf. Regiment was spotted as garrison at the city.

At SOLOMON ISLANDS, the CL PHOENIX bombards LUNGA, achieving 7 port hits and 1 port supply hits.

AERIAL WARFARE

Finally the IJAF is on the air !!! Today our fighters and bombers meet fierce resistance...

The first wave of 13 Wellingtons and 12 Hudson III meet 5 Zero over Rangoon.

5 Wellington and 3 Hudson III were damaged, but scored 6 runway hits.

The next attack was made by 17 B-17D escorted by 21 P-40E. Resistance was a nuisance: 1 Zero, quickly dispatched by our very superior fighters.

11 Port hits at Rangoon by the FF.

2 B-25s and 4 Blenheims attacked Moulmein too (too much agresive commanders, I guess). They meet 25 Oscars !!!. Well, 2 Blens and 1 B-25 downed. It could have been worse.

GROUND WARFARE

MALANG (JAVA) falls to the 1st Tank Regiment. Only Soerabaja stands !!!

SHOCK ATTACK AT HANKOW.

5.827 japanese A.V. tried to pull out my 2.614 chinese A.V.

The following I.J. Divisiones has been located here: 3,6,13,34,39,15,116,37,41.

1 to 2.

[:D][:D][:D]

20.724 japanese casualties.

65 combat squads destroyed. 1385 combat squads disabled ( yeah, about 4 IJ Div out of combat ).
44 non combat squads destroyed. 428 disabled.
Engineers. 4 destroyed, 110 disabled.
Vehicules: 17 destroyed, 100 disabled.

to about 2.100 chinese casualties. Good rate, I think !!! [;)]

No, (I'm afraid not).

The reason of this japanese defeat:

 a) Shock attack. A shock attack is always risky.

 b) Urban terrain. Bonus x2 IIRC.

 c) Well rested troops: Fatige and disruption are less than 10.

 d) Well prepped troops: All units at 100 prep at the hex target. PLUS their HQ stacked with them with some comanders carefully chosen by me. Morale high: All units at 99 moral. Very high experience: My chinese troops here have xp since 51 to 65. Yeah. I've a chinesse corps with 65 xp. Well rested, prepping the hex where he is, with HQ support, and entrenched ( not sure about this: my troops can build forts in an enemy hex?) make the attack a failure.

And you pick chinese commanders manualy. So kung-fu masters :)
Greate victory at all. As I noticed my forces can build some forty in enemy hex, usual goes up to 2 forts.
Good luck And Im waiting for your offence, some nasty plans as you wrote

Overall, I'm a bit satisfied, with the Burma Air Combats. The units I sent to combat were rookies, which had been training since 7th December for the first combat, and the overcome is not bad. Barely 1:1, once ops losses are discounted.

However, I lack enough level bombers to mantain a good degree of operations over japanese territoy. B-17s are good, but Blenheims IV...well... I'm using them to train crews, the same as Hudsons I and Blenheims I. So, I'm critically sort of medium bombers: Just 1 sqn of B-25s, 3 of B-17s (well, they are heavy), and 1 of Wellingtons (with another about to be converted into).

I want to put presure here to force Seydlitz to send planes here. With Sumatra in my hands, every plane not flying against it is a victory. It's strange: I'm currently sending several ships and he has no attacked anyone. Zero attacks to my transports ships.... Well, better for me.
