Harpoon facelift? Will it ever happen?

So do you think Harpoon will ever get a facelift? I dont mean in terms of fancy 3D graphics just simply a better GUI. Something where turning up gamespeed wouldnt force me to click 20 times on a button to get it to register, or where the UI is acutaly intuitive and responsive.

Or will we 10 years from now be playing ANW 3.20 Ultimate Ultimate edition?

Yup, I think it'll get a facelift. I'd suggest a printout of keyboard commands in the interim [:)]

You are probably thinking of a proper Windows interface, like in HC or Red Pill:

To be honest, I'm a bit tired of waiting for Red Pill.
Red Pill is MUCH nicer looking than Harpoon (only with Screen Shoots).
But, I've decided to spend the money on Harpoon Ultimate and support the program here because Red Pill is just not coming out (except for screen shots).

Thanks for your support. We will do everything in our power to ensure that Red Pill is released as a quality product that meets the community's expectations and raises the bar in its genre. Part of that plan is to avoid premature releases that harm more than benefit the product and the community. I am certain we can agree on this.

I would love to implement some of the designs we have for a new UI, but due to the business issues, we can't figure out a way to make it work in the short term.

However, due to legal agreements and the niche market segment of the product type, we are limited in what we can do. The best we can do for now is to continue to polish the game, add features and take small (slow) steps to realize a new UI for H3.

Now, if you are wealthy, or if you can put together a syndicate of < 30 people to raise real money, contact me privately and we'll see what we can do. But be very very clear, the market is such that the best situation would be a small return on investment, the worst would be loosing most of the investment.

And please don't post specific business ideas in an open forum, I can't post detailed business issues publically, I hope you understand.
