Ya, that is what I was doing....

Update 2:

- If it is a night battle zoomed out view is blurred even before the battle starts.

Edit: night is sometimes fine, looks like the map or if you have seen a blurred zoomed out map already it affects you later when you zoom out

I have gotten a response from Nvidia, though it was a request for more information.  I am investigating a work-around from our end, so we will have a fix for this one way or another.  I hope to have this in the next update, but I can't give any guarantee yet.

that's great news - I've just upgraded to a new machine with a  GTX 470 card, deliberately holding off installing the game for the moment.

Maybe there should be some information when you buy LSA. That the game has compatibility issues with Nvidia 400 series graphics card. Has friends on the close combat org. That are rather disappointed they cant play the game.

really it's nvidia 400 series cards that have aproblem with directx.... check the nvidia forums etc.


in any case we are working on a workaround to cover their inadequacies in case nvidia can't or won't fix it.

Arnhem1944 have you tried the v5.60.50b patch yet? Steve said he'd implemented some fixes prior to this build (he couldn't recall which one) that solved this issue for one of our testers who'd bought a 400 series card and was able to test fixes for us. I'd recommend trying it out. We'd certainly be interested in knowing if it fixes the problem for you. Patch available to Matrix Club members at the moment. The patch should go official soon if you'd rather wait.

Just to elaborate.

Tejszd's GTS 450 was suffering the same problems as listed above by arnhem1944.

The latest BETA patch fixes those problems although the fix wasn't mentioned in the fix list.

Please try the latest BETA 5.60.50b

That is a correct summary Andrew. Tejszd is correct that it was not listed and was not included in the list sent to Matrix. Will have to ask Steve if there was a reason why. Since Tejszd was the only person on the testing team with the proper hardware to test this for us and able to verify the fix perhaps Steve was waiting for further confirmation through beta test usage before posting it as an official fix? No idea but it's definitely good we were able to address it for the handful of folks currently experiencing the problem.

Arnhem1944, as myself and Andrew suggested, please do give the latest public beta a try and let us know the results. v5.60.50b Thanks!

Works!! This patch fixes the scrambled mini map for me and my GTX 460. Thanks. The recently released patches for Longest Day and Wacht am Rhein also fix that problem for them. Thanks again.
