Go here:

http://www.matrixgames.com/products/351 ... he.Pacific

It's the first download on the right side.
Yep, that is the one I grabbed and I see now from the file properties I do have the right one. Odd that I'm not showing the right version on the menu page...perhaps a reboot.

I'll work on it tomorrow. Thanks Mike

Night all. [>:]

It's a quarter to 1, outside the snow is falling from the sky, and the only sound in the whole world is my PSU fan. The stillness is absolute.

I wonder if I've died and not noticed...[&:] I hope not; I've not gotten started on Revolution Under Siege yet.

Well, don't die on us. The world would be a more boring place.

One of my very favorite things about snowfall is the quiet that it usually brings.  [:)]
Speak for yourself, mate. There is no environmental condition that results in quiet that can befall a household with a 3 year old and a 6 year old running around.

Mine are 17 and 20 and it's still noisy with them around. Wouldn't want it any other way....

Hear, hear. Mine are 22, 21, and 15. I like all of their noise [:)]

Mine are 17 and 11. One's going shopping for clothes, the other is paintballing today. The house goes very quiet when they're both out.

Well, just found my serial number so I'm off to install AE on my desktop and move my saved games folder over.  Woohoo!!

Chris, you may as well download the new patch while you're at it.
I just did this evening...I think.

Actually I'm having some confusion with that. I just downloaded the update, per the download page, but I'm only on version 1.0.4.1. Is that the latest version?

The full version number should be 1.0.4.1106i.

I'm still in tutorial mode. It's been a while since I've played an AGEOD game. Will report back when I have something.

In other news, I just saw a story that I sincerely hope is apocryphal. A man came to unlock his car door and found the lock frozen. He decided to urinate on said lock to unfreeze it, and became... attached to the metal by his... his... I can't bring myself to type it; it's too horrible...[X(]

Hi all,

Very true. I faced the same issue a while back and went on an 8 month reading binge. Walked away thinking it really sucked on both sides. The Whites however struck me as more depressing. Some sort of weird mix of lost glory and the worst sides if human nature coming out in very ugly ways.

Brother Onime, have you seen the recent Russian movie "Admiral"?

Yes. More Russians trying to be Hollywood. I love how they try to portray him as an innocent victim of circumstance. Having said that, I do think that he had the nation's best interests in mind (after his own lights of course).

RGR - IMHO it was quite OK movie (I was surprised)!

BTW, I acquired 2Velikja voina" 6 documentaries (The Russians made for May celebration of victory over Nazi Germany) - very very very good documentary - much better than what we get served at "The History Channel" and "The Discovery Channel"!

"The German" - 10 minute CGI short movie about BoB...

Text:

I recently completed my second short film 'The German', starring Toby Kebbell (Control, RocknRolla and the up-coming Prince of Persia) and Christian Brassington (Elisabeth: The Golden Age and Easy Virtues). I wrote and directed the film.

www.thegermanmovie.com

The blurb!

November 1940, during the greatest conflict man has ever known, an epic duel unfolds between two ace pilots, each willing to take the match to it’s ultimate conclusion. Unknown to the pilots is a fate neither has considered.

The German is a war story seen through the eyes of RAF officer A C Barton (Kebbell) who will take his fight to the very end. The singleminded desire for revenge drives Barton, but when it comes face to face, can he pull the trigger?

Shot on 35mm (anamorphic), and posted at 2K, the opening of the film is an aerial battle between a British Spitfire and a German Me 109, all of which I completed here at Image Now Films over a six month period. This is a combination of Live action/stills and fully CGI shots.

I have made up a website for the film, which has a trailer and effects breakdowns and a small behind the scenes clip. I have also written a little about the process involved.

Pretty much like the my last short film, A Lonely Sky, the film was made on a relatively small budget (70K euro). It was funded by the Irish Film Board, under a short film scheme they run.

While that sounds a lot, when broken down under the regulations for filming, it all disappears very quickly. The Effects budget was a big fat zero, so a lot of long hours again.

Unfortunately I can't put the film on the web yet, because of film festivals. It was selected for Palm Springs, and LA Shorts as well as the San Paulo film festival.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks

Nick

Productive day ... have put up all Christmas paraphernalia (not that its so much being a bachelor), went downtown and finished all my Christmas shopping and topped it off by doing one months worth of accumulated laundry.

Time to award myself by finishing off what's left of the bottle below ... [:)]

Smooth ... and with just that perfect little touch of rum in it ... bliss ... [:'(]

Not seen it yet. Looks interesting though.

He's got his Spitfire all wrong for November 1940 though Image Should be brown/green for 1940, without the band round the fuselage. And the MkV wasn't in service then either [;)]
