One of my very favorite things about snowfall is the quiet that it usually brings.  [:)]

One of the things I hate about snowfall is the annoying job on top of the wing that it usually brings. [:(]
What snowfall? [:'(][:D]

Chris, you may as well download the new patch while you're at it.
I just did this evening...I think.

Actually I'm having some confusion with that. I just downloaded the update, per the download page, but I'm only on version 1.0.4.1. Is that the latest version?

The full version number should be 1.0.4.1106i.
I have the right one then. :)

I'm still in tutorial mode. It's been a while since I've played an AGEOD game. Will report back when I have something.

In other news, I just saw a story that I sincerely hope is apocryphal. A man came to unlock his car door and found the lock frozen. He decided to urinate on said lock to unfreeze it, and became... attached to the metal by his... his... I can't bring myself to type it; it's too horrible...[X(]
and people debate the validity of survival of the fittest. [8|]

Hi all,

Cannon-armed Spitfire in November 1940...

There were few (very few) Mk IB's...

ORIGINAL: Dixie

Not seen it yet. Looks interesting though.

He's got his Spitfire all wrong for November 1940 though Image Should be brown/green for 1940, without the band round the fuselage. And the MkV wasn't in service then either [;)]

Movie was made in 2008... he usually puts it on Internet for free but this one went to few movie festivals and thus it is not released (as far as I know) to general public thus far...

And agreed about cammo scheme (although this is November 1940... perhaps the cammo started to change at that time)...

Indeed, but the Spitfire in the film is a Mk Vb.

Yes... true... but perhaps they had to use Vb because of the fuselage they were able to obtain (in shoots you see actual cockpit fuselage part they used in front of "blue screen")...

True. There is a famous Mk V (I forget its number) which has appeared in many films and TV programs, masquerading as other marks. This isn't it, though.

Hi all,

Unfortunately the "Search Arcs" problem was not fixed in latest WitP-AE patch "Version 1.01.06i" from 26 November 2010... [:(]

Mine are 17 and 20 and it's still noisy with them around. Wouldn't want it any other way....

Hear, hear. Mine are 22, 21, and 15. I like all of their noise [:)]

Mine are 17 and 11. One's going shopping for clothes, the other is paintballing today. The house goes very quiet when they're both out.
It's been some time since we've had a vicarious BFU update. Do tell...

I will have to read this book again. I don't remember this one. [:D] From my blog.

Booty For A Babe: Another Al Wheeler Mystery
Al Wheeler appears again in Booty For A Babe. This title was published in 1956 by Horwitz and is the 31st entry in the Numbered Series. This story is a screwball case as quoted by Commissioner Lavers. Lavers is LT Wheeler's immediate superior. Take a bunch of science fiction fans, a lecturer, a tungsten dart in the heart of the lecturer, and the dames. Even the redhead dame, with no experience with boy and girl stuff, so Al brings her back to his apartment and he introduces her to his Hi-Fi setup. And then there is the blonde, her boyfriend bores her so she prefers to drink with Al. And how about the other blonde who can throw a switch as fast as Al can duck. Here she is, there she isn't, that away kind of girl. People keep dying in this case and Commissioner Lavers wants the case solved fast. Or Wheeler will be in a blue uniform very soon.
