Guys,
Still loving this tool.

1 question though. On the alerts page what should be show under the critical dropdown as I have never seen anything on this page.

I have just passed 1000 turns (have needed to reset the DB 3 Times so far (after about 300/400 turns loads very slowly)) and the allies are destroying my industry left right and centre (eg Osaka is only a smoking hole now). I thought this would bwe classed as critical.

StoneAge
Yeah we've never used the critical alert - so far ... Floyd and I have talked about adding some for the next release.

Thanks for the support

The economic stuff added for the next release is all "critical".
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

I am a Newbie playing as Japanese. I am trying to install Tracker on my Dell machine running Vista 64 bit OS. I've downloaded Java and the C++ as directed in the setup instructions, but am getting the "Can't load IA 32-bit.dll on AMD 64 bit platform" message when I run the batch file.

I've tried moving the java.exe file to the folder where Tracker is located (as suggested my an earlier post) but am having no luck. I am no computer whiz, so I am wondering if there a "Complete Idiot's Guide" to installing Tracker on a system running Vista 64-bit.

Thanks in advance for any help you can send my way.

Ha! Never mind guys, I screwed up and copied java.exe from the "Programs Files" folder and not the "Program Files (x86)" folder. Once I copied the 32 bit version of java.exe from the "Program Files (x86)" folder, Tracker appears to have loaded as expected.

Thanks to n01487477 for his post on another thread for illuminating me on my error.

The number outside the quotes is direct naval support at the base and the number inside the quotes is naval support projected from other HQ in range.

It appears to be failing to load the pwsdll.dll file to read the save file. Instead of increasing the memory, since I don't think that's the problem, can you set it back to the defaults and see if that makes a difference?

Another small problem... In the Industry tab, the "production" tab is too high, and never gets a scroller. On a "not too high" screen (notepad sized), one cannot see the bottom of the page.

What is the maximum screen resolution you can run ?

I know the production screen has inbuilt problems for lower resolution ... I just have to recode the whole thing eventually...

Ok - you've spurred me on to re-writing the whole production screen as soon as I've put the finishing touches on some of the other area's I'm up to my elbows-in.

Not sure why I went above the 800 pixel resolution boundary, but I'll at least make a fix for next release if I can't finish re-writing the whole thing.

Sorry...

No need to be sorry, Tracker really is a great tool (and there are lots of products you pay for which have more bugs, and WAAAY less user support...).

If I may venture a suggestion, I suspect most of the problem here lies with the "double tab" system. The industry tab is a group of tabs inside a unique "production tab". Now, I believe the resizing problem comes from that "top tab", which serves no purpose. So, perhaps, just removing it...

is this after uninstalling and reinstalling Java32 like I said?
Mike - I'm off to bed now ... please post a screen shot of the error message and I'll get back to you tomorrow sometime...

If this is the same error as before I'd really start with uninstalling Java and reinstalling it again. The 32 bit version ...

If that doesn't fix it then it's a Java pathing problem that I'll have to talk you through.
.. or you can have a look at this (might be something in you windows install)

Hell, I can't remember. I suspect that means I didn't. I have some time before my flight leaves. Let me give it a try. [:D]
