Force Selection screen

Post by genehaynes »

Is there any way you can see what assests are ALREADY assigned to you for the upcoming battle (i.e. Troops "on-board" & any off-board air/arty ). Having this info would be helpful in deciding what assests to purchase.

Currently, I save the game from the purchase screen and then take a look at my forces before the battle. If, for example I already had some off-board arty I might not want to buy that expensive 25lb'dr field piece.

When you are in the force selection screen, any unit that you cannot buy (you don't see a point value or #/#) is on map at the start. Bonus items, off map air and artillery, do not show there.

It is a good suggestion and the graphics are in the folders for it. There must have been a reason for not doing it or they ran out of time to implement it properly.

Also, that 25lbr can bombard every turn and direct fire. The OBA has a delay after use and sometimes a delay before arrival. You may wish you had that on map gun once the battle gets hot.

Good point about the 25lb'dr.

I may be misunderstanding your reply, but I don't think you can assume that whatever you don't see as "buyable" on the purchase screen is on the map at the start. That would men I'd have every type of tank, for example, NOT listed on the purchase screen.

I guess what I'm suggesting is "Here's what you got / Here's what you can buy" information on the purchase screen.

It's no big deal, if a future patch includes this so much the better.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it.

The number showns indictaes what youhave. E.g. 1+ 0/2 means you get 1 for free and can buy up to 2 more.
