Shouldn't PCO be targetting Christmas sales period?

Post by jaggy »

Hi,

Shouldn't Panzer Command Ostfront be targetting the Christmas Sales period? I thought that's the marketing strategy for most game companies, you know a pre-Christmas instead of post-Christmas release? Just a thought. I'm really looking forward to the release of this game. I haven't been this excited since waiting for the release of Jagged Alliance 2. Keep up the good work and more screenshots of the different military vehicles on both sides would be very appreciated.

It's not a matter of targeting, it's a matter of when its ready.

Jaggy, as the game will be free to most, there is no finacial incentive to release before any given time period.

@Mobius & @Stridor - I understand that PCK and PCWS has a dedicated user base but surely PCO is attempting to reach out expand its current customer base? I mean it stands to reason the wider the customer base, the wider the fan base will be too, which would be a good thing for PCO.

I hope that is the case as well. In any event folks have been working pretty hard to get things all set. We hope to have another build ready for the testers soon.

Thanks

Thanks, Rick. I'm really looking forward to this game. I'm not into multi-player, more a single-player myself and am willing to try PCO's PBEM with a friend. I was looking forward to trying out PCO during my leave but I guess PCO is ready when its ready. After checking out the screenshots, AARs and various other posts, I'll definitely be adding this to my collection.
