help request - patching - DISREGARD

Post by rattovolante »

I'm following the guidelines of this sticky:
tm.asp?m=2233574

with a small difference, i have two installs of the game, one at v.1084 (note: patch 1, not hotfix) and one at v.1095.

1) resolve turn 28 with old version 1084 (backup install)
2) save (not "end turn") with old version 1084
3) quit game
4) (sending replay to opponent)
5) move savefile to new version 1095 (main install)
6) when I try to open the file on v. 1095 I get a warning message "PWHEX data differs. Continue? y/n".

Am I supposed to get that message?
Am I doing something wrong in the patching process?

I might be overly cautious here but after killing my pc's motherboard on saturday I'm not taking any risks anywhere computers are involved :p

Thanks for any help :)

PS: Disregard, question was answered in another post, the warning is normal behavior. Thanks :)

The warning is to indicate that the pwhexe (file with map data) on your PC is different to that in the one that is in your save.

This file was changed in the patch, so this is normal.

Just answer Y to accept the different pwhexe
