Let's do this, it's quicker and a lot more fun.

It's brilliant! Crude, yes, but absolutely Churchillian. The master stroke. You know, capture the Dardenelles and push Turkey out of the war. That kind of thing. I don't know why we didn't think of it earlier.

The question is, will the Japs see through our plan?

Of course not. Elegant design, stunning simplicity - what could go wrong?
As a regular reader of this AAR, I confess confusion. Have things gone so awry that the Turks are now beligerents? Are the Dardenelles near the Spratlys in the South China Sea? [&:]

Well, with December 7 upon us IRL, I'm sure that JJ will have certain ideas about 'presents' to bestow upon you. Perhaps a good many of the 800kg variety.

That's hardly very Churchhillian*. C'mon, mate-make with the flowery talk talk! Inspire in your moment of need, damnit! Orate like there's no tomorrows!

*In hindsight, I guess calling military advisers a bunch of puff shirts is Churchhillian, idn't it?

Only if you put "4,500 screaming SNLF marines landing on Fiji" on your Christmas list, mate.

Yes..good summary

Plus 4 division equivalents at La Foa, 25,000+ Naval Guards at Noumea and another 6,000 at Tanna...a full brigade + 1 regiment at Horn Is.

10,000 here, 50,000 there...pretty soon you are talking about a lot of Little Yellow Bastards running around.

Unfortunately even though 18th Div retreated in good order from Katherine with low disruption, they retreated North and now will be in the desert with Moses for 40 days.

We need to keep the Japs busy in Northern Oz and Fiji until the Russians enter the war....or sink all their carriers and cut their supply routes.

Anyone else having any ideas? [:)]

The 18th went through a time dimension portal! Wow!. If you can get them to cross back through it maybe they will be refitted. Of course their transports will be chariots![:D]
For what we are about to receive, may we be truly thankful.

Just remember Moses didn't make it to the promised land so which of you will volunteer? I think it rained for 40 days and they walked for 40 years but hey who is counting... just saying.

Hey! Don't leave out the Long Lances! That would be disrespectful! They worked pretty good in "1942 version actual historical outcome, mod 1.00," IIRC...

Just ask the guys who were on the Northhampton...(Like my Grampaw, Papa "Chief.") He said that "night swimming in the Slot wasn't too uncomfortable, but awfully scary."

Thank God for those real guys onboard those LGBs back when it really counted!

That doesn't even make any sense. [:-]

Shingle=hard, inedible, sunbleached wooden slat only suitable for protecting one's roof. Akin to the toast that comes with the infamous SOS.

A raft=floating, spongy and soft-designed for protecting those atop the water. There is nothing about SOS that says 'soft', 'spongy' or 'protecting'.
