buy on release?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

You must not have been around when WitP AE made it's arrival.

Not in my case. I still haven't played WiTP enough to justify the purchase of the admiral's edition. I bet that must have been crazy busy.

It was, especially with the time zone difference. you go to bed after sending WitP PBEM turn you wake up to 2,000 threads saying AE has been downloaded!!!!!

I just spoke with the store again, we are projecting 30 minutes to release at this point.

Ok, I'm off to bed - it's already quarter to eleven around here, and I only wanted to see the price (which will undoubtedly be fair, but I may or may not be able to afford it at the moment). Good night everyone, and enjoy the next 30 minutes of severe nail biting! [:D]

Hi guys,

Pricing will be the same as WITP: AE (when it's not on sale, as it is now). So $79.99 Download, $89.99 Physical & Download (with a 130+ page printed manual and a close to 400 page PDF manual).

Regards,

- Erik

I think this gained something in the translation. Either that, or you're unlikely to want to waste time downloading games, this evening....[;)]

ARGHH...

I had budgeted $300 for the game, beer, and hookers... guess I'll have to ditch the hookers...

( They would only distract me and I'm sure my wife would be upset as well )

Well the game might take longer than the hookers, lol... unless they are gamers too. The proverbial wargaming widow.

On the other hand, you need to do something while waiting for the download to finish.
The above is a far better idea than anything I had planned. [:D]
