Pilot Old Age

I wasn't able to find an answer in the TOS guide. Does anyone know if pilots only "live" or are able to fight until a certain age, when they are retired? (I'm looking into the negative impact of leaving some pilots out of the battle while I focus on bringing up the skills of newer pilots.)

There is no ageing in TOS. One battle is a month and pilots will have at least 25 years or 300 battles without getting to badly hampered by age. How many battle do you have ?

Right now my oldest pilots have about 40 battles under their belt.

Is there a calculation for factoring in age and the impact it has on battle performance?

No: The game just adds a month to the jocks age for each battle. No limits, no modifiers.

one of my pilots from the VB original (haven't played the matrix versions yet) is now aged 64, with 95 combats under her belt

Strange. 95 battles are just about 8 years. Seems the VB original had a bit different rules. Don't remember that.
