1.4 Beta Air strikes

Post by Razz1 »

I can not get my carriers to do an airstrike with China 1937.
So I booted up the Pacific Campaign and the samething happens.

You can not attack any of the planes in Hawaii.
I checked China to find out land based fighters have the same problem.

At the start of the turn I could see the second group bomber.

I recon and found 1st group Chinese aircraft.

I want to do an airstrike on the 1st group but can not.

It worked correctly in 1.3

Are the rules change or is this a bug.

It effects balance allot.

Here you can see that once the land unit has sight of the air base, a carrier can strike.

Once again this should be fixed as Carriers did strike air bases in real life.

Not allowing a carrier to strike an air base without a land unit present kills the balance of the game.

It makes fleets sitting ducks.

QUACK QUACK QUACK

Also the AI does not play by the same rules. They can strike your aircraft behind in the rear when they have no visibility of them.

The air strike acts like a bombardment.

When you do an air strike from a carrier it sounds like a bombardment but from a smaller caliber shell, like from a cruiser.
You can only do one strike.

Also, when you bombard an airbase you can not do an airstrike, it is an either or proposition.

You should be able to bombard an airbase or land unit, then be able to attack with an airstrike. Then go in for the kill with your land units.
