Characters not shown

I've got the same problem as Tomus (characters not seen in menus etc). I've tried to install a new driver for the video chipset, but unfortunately the Intel utility says the driver is proprietary while Toshiba says it is the last driver even if dated 2008. I've also tried to install the Intel generic driver anyway, but the installation is refused by the computer.

What now??
I enclose the DxDiag file. The screenshot would be the same as Tomus'.

Any news?

I've tried patch 1.01 setting different fonts (Times New Roman) but there is no effect!
