Gaming expenditures in 2010

Achtung Panzers interface isn't difficult at all..once you read the manual...the only difficult one is targeting a single enemy unit with one of yours but the AI does a good enough job...it hasn't got loads and loads of different choices that bamboozle...just need to read the manual and it becomes very straight forward...it's the best tactical game thats come out since Combat Mission, it's over taken for me Close Combat as an RTS (hate them usually) game (especially trying out CC recently I realiesd that AP was alot better all round and I never thought I'd say that)...the only negative was the lack of scenarios BUT what can you expect at the price it was...roll on the expansion (tried the russian demo and it improves the game all round esp the operation side).

I can't even begin to figure out what I have bought.  But, there were some real dogs in there and there was one that probably made it all better.  WITE.  I now have something to play for the next 10 years.  But, actually, if I were to delve into some of the games I have set aside due to loss of interest, I probably would not have to buy another game ever.

I know what you mean.
I can see 6 games still in cellowrap from the computer desk.
But they were all £5-£10 purchases.

A real joy was MOO-2 from GOG. Still good after how many years.

I have no idea how much I've spent or how many games I've bought...but I think the wife sums it up nicely - too much!

I’ve only bought three games over the last 18 months because of my own personal economic downturn:

1) Musket & Pike: Renaissance (HPS)
2) WitP: AE (Matrix)
3) Field of Glory (Matrix)

I bought the download version of FoG yesterday because it was on sale. It was the first time I’ve bought a game by download.

Lützow - I agree with you about Achtung Panzer. I deleted from my HDD a few months ago. It was cheap but not worth the money. I must have gotten a different manual. A decent tutorial just might have gotten me into it.

I've only bought 2 games this year:

Battlefront (Too bad - I would have preferred this to evolve rather that DotD)

Panzer Campaigns (now officially "stale")

I did get some good mileage from CM and PZC to a lesser extent.

I had financial problems this year. The only game I bought full price was Distant Worlds. Great game, BTW.

GTA San Andreas $3.79
Oblivion/Morrowind and all expansions with both games $9.99
Age of Conan $19.99
Civ IV with both expansions for $9.99.             I didn't like this game before but I'm becoming really drawn into it.

Gary Grigsby's World at War: A World Divided is on sale for $26.99 but I doubt I'll be able to wing it.    *sigh*

Well I initially thought WitP:AE was my only game purchase this year, then I remembered I bought it when it came out LAST year.  [:D]

I've spent $0 on games this year.  I play AE all the time and fill in the small gaps with free online OGame.

Picked a last game for this year. Not that I'm going to play it anytime soon with WitE keeping me busy, but GG offers 'Rise of Prussia' for 4,95 and I sorta got it for free by paying with blue coins. [:D]

Just did the exact same deal. I like being able to build up a future discount (or freebie in this case) by buying games and getting a little kickback. Not sure Rise of Prussia will be my last game of the year though, I can feel WitE tugging on my wallet...

Ditto. I bought RoP last night off GamersGate for the same paltry $4.99.

I'm also feeling the tug of WitE, too. Must.... resist.....
