Idiot Question 6 - Breaking up Stacks

I know how to get a unit into a stack, and that there is a maximum of three units.

But what do I do to break up a stack, so I can use the units individually or to join other stacks.

Please advise.

When clicking on a stack, you'll automatically select the entire stack. If you want to deselect certain units, click on them in the unit panel to the right (after selecting the stack). This probably explains the problem you're having at Orel too: you have to deselect the HQ before you can move the Rifle division there.
