Two newby questions

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Two newby questions

Post by pat.casey »

Apologies if these have been answered before, but I've a few questions as a fresh user.

Can I change the game resulution?

I run this on my laptop (1900X 1080 pixels), but it looks like the game wants to run in 800X 600 with means it takes up about 1/2 of my screen and everything is really small and hard to read.

Is there a way to get it to run in something larger than 800X600?

Is there a table of unit values?
I'm looking for a table of unit values like the old WIR had for the various ground and air units.

I successfully found the table of combat values, but all it tells me is that a light tank is work 7 CV, what I'd like is the table that lists ATK/DEF values for, say, a T34/76 vs a T34/85?

Is it in the manual/in the game ala WITP?

You can compare equipment in the equipment part of the commander's report screen.

Resolution should be changeable.

Resolution should be changeable.

Do you know where/how?
It is non-obvious to me either on the setup screen or in-game.

Just make the whole window bigger.. top right hand corner, there's a button to 'maximize'

I just bought and installed the game...OUTSTANDING! But I can't get it to maximize. I am running Windows XP and the three Windows control buttons in the upper right of the window are all disabled. I also tried the Windows Maximize keystroke...nothing. What am I missing?

If those buttons dont' work, you put the mouse in one of the corners and drag it to enlarge. This is what I did.

I tried that too. I can't move the window, resize it by dragging, or use the buttons. Guess I'll move this to the Tech Support thread.
