HQ relocation bug?

I had the LVII panzer corp relocated due to a retreating soviet unit come next to it. (a bit harsh i thought)

But even worse it ended up out past Riga!

A bug?

If an enemy unit moves adjacent to a HQ that is not stacked with a combat unit, then the HQ will displace per the rules for rout movement. No bug.

Thanks. Yes as you said displace 5-6 hexes.

This HQ displaced 26 hexes!

The HQ is at the top of the pic in pink and the units at the bottom in red.

Must be something wrong there?

As a HQ is supposed to relocate to "always to a
nearby town, city or urban hex." as per manual.

Not in a clear hex next to enemy in a northerly direction 26 hexes away?

Does seem odd. What hex was it in when it first relocated, and what hex did it relocate to? I don't suppose you have a save before this happened that would allow you to repeat it do you? There's a lot of randomness that can happen, but this does seem odd.

Sorry no save of that event.

I don't know exact hex co-ordinates only a guess of where it was. In the pic it is highlighted in pink at top, near Riga.
