Q: About AI behavior of factory RR move

Post by Walloc »

Hi,

I was just wondering if the following AI behavior is WAD or possibly a bug?
I surrounded, 1 unit in all the adjecting hexes of Voshilorovgrad, naturally cutting any RR connection.
Non the less in the following turn the AI railed all the factories out.
I understand that u need the AI to cheat some what for competitive games, but im wondering if the above is WAD.

Kind regards,

Rasmus

Someone else will have to answer this, as I've lost track of what the AI is doing with factories. Some testers report it isn't moving factories, some report magic moves like this. Sounds like it isn't WAD to me, but perhaps the AI is allowed to make such magic moves.

It shouldn't be allowed to move factories if there is no rail path out of the city. Can you send me a save at 2by3@2by3games.com at the start of the Soviet turn where it rails factories out of a surrounded city. Thanks for the report.
All understanding comes after the fact.

Hi Joel,

I havent been saving much, just quicksave and the quicksave i got, is just after this happens. Any how im sure ill see it again and ill try getting a save. Happen at Mariupol in the same turn too btw. Cut its rail but it did have seaborne supply, but im assuming its not enough.

Kind regards,

Hi Joel,

Just wanted to add that i've tried to reproduce this quiet a bit. No luck. So either were the moons and stars in right alignment in first reported case or i was mistaken.
/bug report on hold

Kind regards,

Rasmus
