question about new ground elements experience

Post by alaric318 »

best greetings,

first of all, i apologize if this was asked for before, just i failed to search to the big quantity of threads open and forums, i may do it by test but may take time i may spend better in another things, well, for the question then,

i see some new equipment in all units, as german, but what i want to ask for is about just panzer divisions, panzer divisions taken new equipment in 1942, through april, and once they capture some T34 soviet tanks, the main "problem" being realistic, in the battlefield translates in some decrease performance of the panzers, captured T-34 and new Panzer IV (F) model enter the unit's Table Of Equipment at about 50 experience, the overall experience of the unit, show about this experience, it cost valuable Combat-Value points to the panzer divs, added to fatigue and logistics (i name as side note logistics, i play 160% for the german and 210% or 180% for the soviets, if playing, former for challenge, later for test), well, how many turns take the new equipment to the main unit experience?, if some developer/tester may give me an answer it will help me a lot and, added in, save me time for another things,

thanks in advance for any and all advice, and again, anyway i dislike somehow it, i think it is realistic, infantry formations, even when them change to his TOE 42 from his TOE 41 seem not so decreased in overall performance, if there are some way to change that feature about new/captured troops experience in the editor i will like any advice about it too,

excuse any poor english and have my best regards,

Murat30.

okey, i will try to go more clear this time...

1 - you have one panzer division with all ground elements about 60 to 80 experience
2 - you get a) panzer IVf tanks with 50 experience and/or b) soviet T-34/76 captured that are added to the panzer division/s (too at 50 experience)
3 - overall experience of the unit is then set to around 50/51 at most... so... how many turns to get the new equipment to 60/80 experience?, turns or battles, training.

thanks for the repply and thanks in advance for any advice,

best regards,

Murat30.

my guessing is that is a faster proccess if you have more experience troops in the unit, as other ground elements, just i ask because i may failed to find some important info.

Well, this question is more related to game itself rather than editor. I think this aspects should be described in manual.

I don't think there is any relation between experience of separate ground elements. The most decisive is unit's morale. If you set unit idle all element should settle around national morale. Through the successful combat you may gain both morale and experience, but you may loose as well.

best regards and greetings, historical and makes sense, thanks for the fast and very good advice/info,

you the team have do a very good-outstanding work with this game, congratulations and thanks for make it available, i are now making my own mod of the 1942-1945 campaign, is almost ready, along with two more versions of the main campaign game with "ultra-elite" german infantry, all three scenarios may be unbalanced this time for the german side, i need some test on them, but are "angry" to share them with the community, i completely re-done the deployment of the 1942 campaign, i left for later only the 1943 campaign scenario,

thanks again and have my best regards,
