Unhandled Exception Error: The directory is not empty

Post by RocketMan »

Just got this error today and haven't seen it before. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the game and the 1.04Beta patch, but that didn't solve the problem. The only thinh that has changed on my computer is a windows update was run. This error also only occurs when I am trying to load the first turn of a PBEM game. I can send you the file if you need me to Vic.

The error occurs after I have selected "Login" and the entered my password for the first time.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

This error is also occurring when I try to start a new PBEM game. From the Scenario Selection Screen I select all players as human and then select PBEM and then Start. On the next screen, when I select "Login" I get the error. Can anybody else test this and see if you have the same problem please?

Hi Rocket,

Can you check if the directory "masterlogdir" is empty?

You can find the directory as a subdirectory in the directory the WarsawToParis.exe is in.

Have you tried running as administrator? (if on Vista or higher)

Best,
Vic

That was it. Thanks Vic!

One of me PBEM turns was there for some reason. I don't know why, although I could have accidentally copied it to that directory instead of the savedgames directory.
