Thank you testers....

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

For all you have done, I would like to give a big 'thank you' to the testers!

You guys have spent a lot of time and effort in putting out little brush fires and answering (and reanswering) many questions. The support for this game is top notch considering that your probably not paid for the work you do. Hopefully soon the burden with be lifted by others who are slowly coming to grips with this beautifully complex but fun game.

I salute you gentlemen for your selfless duty.

Thanks for the kind words. I can only speak for myself, but I'm happy to help out with issues to make the launch as smooth as possible.

The quick solutions to (technical) problems surprise even me. The more or less instant fixes for many issues are really nice.

Main downside of my semi-omnipresence on the forum when I'm awake is that notenome has been waiting on his 1941-1945 campaign turn for a while as I'm struggling to find the hours to complete it between answering questions, testing and a busy weekend. I had to laugh earlier today when I noticed that the last time I played a full turn was 11 days ago. I'm hoping that the next few weeks will be a bit less hectic.

+1

Testers hints and tips have been invaluable in getting up to speed (or 1/2 speed anyway [;)]) especially for those of us who've had a hard time getting around to the manual because we can't stop playing the game [:D]
Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that link. Much appreciated. I think all the testers knew that WITE was going to be a bit of a culture shock to many players, and that the learning curve would look daunting to some. As we get close to the end of the second week, I think most players will be "over the hump", indeed I now see many players are beating me to the punch to get the answers in!.

Anybody watch it all the way to a million? [:D]
