Road to Lenningrad - Where did all my Corps HQ's go?

Hi all

Sorry if this is answered somewhere in the manual, but on Turn 5 of the Road to Leningrad, as the Russians against the AI, all of my Corps HQ were gone and their units are now assigned to Army HQ's.

Again, this may be perfectly WAD because I know that later in the game, such as the 44-45 campaign, there are no corps HQ's because the infantry units are now corps sized. But you cant combine Soviet infantry divisions into corps unitl summer of 1942 - so seems like ditching the Corps level HQ's now is a bit premature.

So is that what I am seeing? I tried to find this in the manual but could not.

Yes. They automatically disband about 6 weeks into the GC or start scenarios. Not sure where in the manual it refers to that.

Cool. Figured that was the case. Do you loose their support units? Or do they get reassigned to higher HQ?

18.5.2. AUTOMATIC DISBANDING OF SOVIET CORPS HQ UNITS
Soviet Corps HQ units will automatically disband as follows:
Soviet Mechanized Corps HQs will be phased out (disbanded) by August 1941.
Soviet Rifle and Cavalry Corps HQs will be phased out (disbanded) by November 1941.
