Constructors are actually building research stations.  Before expansion, constructors never build research stations in my game.

What is "RTOF"?  Did you mean ROTS?

At any rate I consider everything added to be pretty awesome!

Hehe about right. Seems I lost a significant battle against my keyboard...

Also I did not want to belittle any other change that made it into the expansion, but space clusters simply hit the nail IMO.
Minimal change, huge impact on gameplay. And fun.

I guess I can't just point to interface improvements generically, so I will say the new tech system. The varied and evenly spaced clusters are great though (but there are a few other things on my list of great improvements besides interface changes and aspects of the new tech system before you get to the new map types) and varied clusters has joined the list of galaxy types I regularly use.

EDIT: You could edit the topic name if you like, but I think it is funnier if left as is and what you mean is obvious from the context anyway.

I have to agree its a great addition; add a 'place one starting empire/cluster' setting and it would be perfect.

i realize that maybe i'll post here every time i hit a new feature but i have to applaud the new game editor options (especially the fact you can add or remove resources from a planet); the testing possibilities this opens up lead to more hours of immersion

My favoured part is the new tech tree
Now hopefully we will soon be able to fully mod it and make it a large one :) hehe

My favoured part is the new modding capabilities [:D]

But overall, everything in the expansion was a job well done, hopefully more patches and expansions to come [8D]

another one that i found useful and didn't find it mentioned so far....you can change the speed of the game while paused and the game remains paused

I don't think I could play without my clusters :D

My favorite is the research changes.

I'm very glad I bought the expansion... I don't think I could have played without it.

I must say all the new tech reminds me of MOO2. It's great how this game uses the best features of it's great predecessors while improving and taking them further; this aside from it's clear originality. Even if Elliot would not have said it himself, it's obvious that he's also a 4x gamer that wanted to use the good work that's already been done and create what was missing. The result I think will lead us to even more enjoyable expansions while the patches iron out the lose ends.

I forsee a long future for this one, no obvious setbacks at the momment - that we know off :)

Hmm, I am missing where you can add or remove resources from within the game editor. How can I do this?

Double click the desired planet or asteroid and you'll see about half-way down the new box an area to add and remove resources

I like having the ability to add more than the 11 default shipsets for mods. Even though it's still a little buggy. [;)]

modders rule, my deepest respects...at some point i also used the star trek and star wars mods, great work
now i like to play the game as it is, to enjoy it's original music, shipsets etc; but mods will come back for sure
