SP:WaW will also run under OS/2 and Linux as well. Check the FAQ for detailed sytem requirements.

I used to play SPWaW a few years ago on Windows and would like to try it on Linux now. How can I do that?

I also played SPWaW on windows years ago and then ditched windows for LINUX. Yes you can play SPWaW in linux. Install play on linux and wine. I am using Linux Mint with version 3.7.6 of play on linux and wine verison 1.3.10. I just installed the game Saturday. I have also completely updated the game and even installed the enhanced mod through ModSwap.

After you get play on linux up and running (use your package manager) you will need to select a wine version and then you are ready to install. Simply choose the install button and then use the "install a .pol package or an unsupported application" on the bottom left hand of the screen. Then it is pretty easy, just follow the dialog boxes (manual install) and don't say finish until SPWaW is finished. the updates are pretty easy as well, follow the same steps as you did when you first installed, but choose to edit an application already installed.
