Um....you get six months of crappy weather there: it's called 'summer in Texas'. Hell on earth.

Through the generations Texans have been genetically enhanced to laugh at summer heat . . . . either that or our brains have suffered so much sun damage that we can't feel it anymore.

I can't help but feel left out. Everyone get s****y weather except here.
Hey, I'm grateful for the respite, anarchyintheuk. Hopefully our flights aren't as borked as those all over the east coast. We fly out tomorrow afternoon direct to MSP.

As for Summer in Texas-Brother Brush hat has it right. July through September are pretty unbearable down here.

Hope you enjoyed SA. I was in the Goliad area last thursday. My dad and I did a day trip thereabouts.

Yes....GF is not sure if the guy who wants him will really take him now.

Count thus far:

4 x #2 accidents
3 x #1 accidents
(oh but we were told he's "house trained" yeah...he's trained to use the house as his toilet.)
2 x incidents caught licking bowls in sink
7 x incidents caught laping water out of the toilet
4 x incidents of chasing the cat
200+ incidents of getting on the furniture.
3 x incidents of waking up with legs asleep from 80+ pounds of dog laying on them
5 x GFU beatings

Took him to my pub on Sunday and he proceeded to break two dozen hearts with his sweet disposition. Little do they know it's an act. He's a stinker......a puppy in a BIG 2 year old Dobbie body. He doesn't come when called. This guy has no idea what he's in for.

No one would take him though....even after i threw in the pitbull as a bonus.

Is he as dumb as the pitbull, or is it a sinister act?

Its a close race......he's certainly as DENSE as the pitbull. You have to wack him hard just to get his attention. Doesn't help that he's had next to no training in his first two years of life.

He's got the cute act down to a science however......he's particularily fond of putting his head on laps and shoulders and giving puppy eye stares at strangers. It's cute......but annoying when he jumps up on the bed and does it to my shoulder from behind while i'm trying to do an AE turn. Then again.....his input might improve my game.....

Logboy is dreaming again.

from the Seattle Times:

Snow possible, but likely spotty and sparse

Posted by Jack Broom

Yes, there is a chance of snow in the forecast.

But back away from that panic button: If the Puget Sound area does get snow in the next 24 hours, it will likely wait until after midnight to fall, may be confined to a few spotty “convergence zones” and is unlikely to add up to much more than an inch – maybe two inches in the Cascade foothills.

Showstopper. As far as I know this is incurable and will make it impossible to place him in a home where the people are gone most of the day....which is most homes in America.

Which makes me glad that I live an hours drive away from Seattle!!!

Not that the drivers around Olympia are that much better, but at least they don't abandon their cars in the middle of the street...
