Possable bug with mutual defense pact

As the title says there may be a bug in my game as one of the empires I have a mutual defense pact along with a high standing with them. But we started attacking each other out of the blue for no good reason.

I've uploaded the closest savegame file of the event along with a .txt file that gives all the details I can recall.

It seems a few people have alsoly came across this possable bug

I've voiced similar concerns (without the pact) and the dev response I got was basically that some empires are pretty testy and their ships will run amok even with good relations.

Yeah same here ... Seems pretty pointless to "ally" with such looney AIs ...
