If you mean the HC (HUCE) scenario editor, please see the relevant items at:
tm.asp?m=1633589

If you mean one of the others, please specify which one. Thank you

secrtwpn,

Tony is asking which version of the Harpoon series. Are you using HCE or H3ANW? The two games have two almost totally separate development teams so we need to know which version so the appropriate people can provide the support you're looking for.

Harpoon Ultimate Edition consists of two separate game lineages. Harpoon Classic and Harpoon Advanced Naval Warfare. Tony's the chief coder for HC and I edit the HUD3 database for ANW as well as undertaking Testing and various development tasks.

The following comments aren't directed at you personally, but we've both previously requested that, players specify the version they are asking assistance with so the person concerned can answer the Harpoon Community's questions as quickly and as accurately as possible. No offence meant to anyone but if players don't specify the specific game they are asking for assistance with, we're both guessing as to what the questions relate to.

Thanks in advance

Darren

It appears I'm in Harpoon Classic. I'll have to say it is GREAT getting back into Harpoon. I played it alot in the 80's. BUT, I am disappointed that the SE cannot be used in Win 7. Yes, I've seen the workarounds, but it's WAY over my head. I'm also not confortable downloading progrmas to try to fix it. I don't want to harm my computer. I was looking forward to the new weapons platforms, i.e. Virginia class SSN's and OHIO class SSGN's.....

I can't make you more brave (the Win 7 in place upgrades really aren't bad) but I can tell you all of the referenced tools are quite respected so fearing harming your computer is a worry we could hopefully talk you out off (Microsoft wrote the Windows 7 and all you have to use is Microsoft software).

You can still use the new platforms in a number of user scenarios available at harpgamer.com and elsewhere.

Until then, enjoy the scenarios that are out there (and there are many)!
