White blobs

Playing the Velikie Luki '42 tutorial, I get white blobs over all the land.... have tested the other scenario's and they seem OK. Is anybody else getting this or is it just me....

Maybe it is snow????[8|]...
Any idea how to remove the weather overlay

There is a check box in preferences called "Show weather graphics"

cheers,I found it, could not see a damn thing with snow...
