Task Force is beamed back to its homeport

Hi all,

One of my japanese task forces encountered an allied task force and engaged it in night time combat. After the combat my task force got beamed back to its homeport! The distance was too far that the task force simply retired to its homeport. Combat was at Samarinda and homeport is Pescadores.

Anyone experienced that before or after updating to the current patch (1106i)?

I've had it happen when upgrading to a new patch (the last patch not the new one), under this suspicion I never patch while a games already going. I think my TF was out of Singapore heading to Ceylon, its home port was Saigon, while half way to Ceylon, I patched and the Amphib TF ended up docked in Saigon.

Both me and my PBEM opponents won't patch till our games over, however if I need to patch I will simply reinstall AE to another folder, and install the latest patch.

However I did have a save, and when I replayed the save, everything was fine with the TF on its way, so I know I'm not crazy....yet

This has periodically happened 2 my naval forces, but not just to the home port.  I just shrug it off and play on.  Teleportation seems to be a persistant if quite rare event over time IME.
