Hurt my index finger doing yard work yesterday. It's starting to blow up like a balloon[X(]

Back from the ER. It is a puncture wound approximately 3/8 in deep just below the knuckle joint running roughly parallel to the bone. Infection had already set in and was spreading to the hand[X(] X-rays were taken to verify no plant material remained in the wound.
I have now had a tetanus shot in the arm and an antibiotic shot someplace else. Both locations and the finger hurt. I was told by 3 people in the ER that I should not have waited until today. What do I know, I'm an engineer not a doctor[:D]

I also have 2 prescriptions to take.

That's the last time I work in the yard without work gloves.

I dragged my butt out of bed at 5 am to get to the airport in time to get through everything to get on my 830 flight on time only to find out it's been delayed to 950. [:@] Well, at least I can babble on here for another hour.
