feature request - clock?

The Seven Years’ War was fought across the globe and called by some the first “World War” as virtually every major power participated. In the center of events was Prussia, almost constantly at war and lead by the now legendary Frederick the Great.

Relive the exciting and trying days of Frederick the Great in Horse and Musket: Volume I, the improved and expanded combination of the previous Prussian War Machine and Prussia’s Glory titles. Horse and Musket: Volume I is a reboot of the successful Horse and Musket series, including not only two solid historical titles in one package, but also many new game features, a powerful new editor, and a complete graphics overhaul to an already acclaimed gaming system.

feature request - clock?

Post by Javolenus »

Hi There,

I am liking this game very much. Great game engine and wonderful editor. I also like that you can add your own music.

I have a polite request for an additional feature for the GUI. Would it be possible in future versions to have a clock so that you can set the time for a scenario and see the time change each turn? This would help with immersion and also writing AARs. The clock could be an elegant 18th-century design!

Well, this is not an essential feature, but I mention it while it was on my mind.

Thanks again for good game and looking forward to vol. 2.

Very good suggestion like the weather modifier.

Notice you are able to change battlefield to summer, fall, winter and spring=default in editor.

Thanks for this reply. Yes, I very much like that you can choose the season in the scenario editor - good feature!

Another thought about feature additions:

In the scenario editor there is a scenario background feature, where you can write a detailed description of a custom battle. I was wondering if it might be possible to add some kind of AAR template to the game, perhaps based on turns/time, so that a 'standard' H&M AAR format is established? Well, this is just a thought froma non-expert.
