IMHO taking Riga on turn one isnt the best use of 4th PG. You are better off positioning them for a push that givs you 2 axis of advance towards Pskov and or the area near Velikie Luki. You can always mop up Riga turn 2.

If you can turn on controlled hexes it'll be easier to see how you moved.

Interesting to see that it is still possible. I prefer to pocket the forces south/west of the Daugava, though.

Here is my latest turn one move for AGN. The tanks are in position to take large amounts or ground turn 2 and give the soviets much more ground to consider covering. The troops on the border are pocketed and the 4th PG is nestled in closely with 3 PG.

Nice - probably a better long term opening. Taking the two cities is more of a morale-boost thing :)
